So the 4 day long holiday weekend is officially here and there is finally time to sit back and play some games. What will I be playing you ask? That’s easy, Trauma Center!

Well that’s one of the games I will be playing over the next few days as I am trying to get better grades on my past operations.

I have played the DS version, played much of the Wii version and I have sat down and watched a friend play the Wii version and I think I have enough to write out my thoughts.

First I want to say watching someone play this for the first time is extremely funny. They make a lot of mistakes, accidentally let a person vitals drop then yell out ‘oh no I killed him’.

My friend has come a long way in the game and thinks he’s the best doctor ever actually right now he’s yelling at the nurse ‘get out my way I got the healing touch bitch’.

There were a few noticeable changes made to the Wii version the character art is different, there is the addition of a difficulty setting, and there is also the new operations using a different doctor.

The Trauma Center controls also feels a lot more intuitive the most of the other games which is a good thing because you’re cutting people up, putting their bones back together then sewing them back up.

The game isn’t the easiest though there are times when you might forget what to do because after a while once something has been explained that’s it you’ll have to figure it out on your own.

Let’s face it, it can be really difficult remembering what to do after you cut a person open use an ultrasound to find a tumor once the tumor is found slice the area open then drain it. After its drains you cut around the infected area then… Well you see what I mean right? The life of a virtual doctor can be very hard trying to remember all that but it’s hard in that good challenging way.

The games story isn’t this uber deep I connect with the character and I cry when he cries one but game play alone could this title, and it’s operating room is about as realistic as Phoenix’s Wrights courtroom.

So if you have a Wii then I recommend trying this one out heck if you have a DS then I recommend you checking it out on the DS also for cutting action on the go!
